To add a Qbus controller, first check whether your controller has been activated for cloud control. You can activate this for free via the Qbus System Manager software.
Download the software from the website at this link: https://www.qbus.be/nl-nl/support/software/system-manager-iii
System Manager is the tool to configure your Qbus system. All info on how to do this can be consulted on our website.
Opening the software gives you the following picture:
At the top of the menu, click Tools - Setup to open the setup screen.
In the tabs, click on Connection
Click the TCP/IP Settings button to search for your Qbus Controller in the network.
If you don't find it, check the following items:
Then go to the Qbus Cloud tab to register your controller for Qbus Control.
As we have several Qbus Control servers, we must first let our system connect to the nearest server. Select the server you wish to connect to (in Belgium and surrounding areas - Qbuscontrol.com) and click the arrow to apply the settings.
Our controller has outdated firmware. With a new controller, you will not need to update the controller's firmware.
Choose the firmware you wish to install on the controller (by default this is QbusCTD_ATM128v3.11.UPG)
Confirm that you agree to the upgrade procedure.
If your controller was already up to date, you can follow further here.
Then we now enter an email address that we want to use to register the controller with the Qbus Control application.
Register with the same email address you used with your Qbus Control account.
For installers: Use the end user's email address here!
Take a copy of the activation code and email address and keep it in a document somewhere, we will need this data later to create the Qbus Control account and link the controller there.
To rule out that Qbus Control cannot communicate with your controller, it is necessary to close the connection in System Manager III.
Click on the menu icon at the top left and then click on the toothwheel icon.
Click on INSTALLATION ADDITION in the top right-hand corner.
!
Under Serial Number, enter the serial number of your controller, under Activation Code the code you received in the previous steps via System Manager III and select your time zone.
Congratulations, your controller is ready for use with Qbus Control.
Click on the controller once to check the status:
