Now that our controller is connected to Qbus Control, we can create a control panel.
Qbus Control works on the basis of groups, where you can group various outputs. Usually, you will create a group per room in the house.
Because this process can be time-consuming, there is an option to take this into account already in the configuration software (System Manager III) and already create locations there containing the outputs that are part of this space.
When adding a group, you will be able to choose between a manual or automatic group.
Features of the groups at a glance:
Manual group
Automatic group based on output type
Automatic group based on location
You start by choosing Groups from the menu:
At the top right, you then click on Add GROUP +
For a manual group choose MANUAL and for an automatic one (based on type/location) choose AUTOMATIC
First, we give our group a name and click Add GROUP.
Then we are going to add our outputs. Click on + ADD OUTPUT
Here we have a list of all outputs for each controller. Place a tick next to each output you want to include in your group.
Here you can optionally rename the group and change its properties for each output.
To change the order of the outputs, you can drag the orange icon up or down to the right of the output.
Click Groups in the top left corner when you are done.
Click BASED BY TYPE OF OUTPUT
From the dropdown, choose the type of output you want to add to the control panel.
Here you can possibly rename the group and change its properties for each output. See configure output
Click Groups in the top left corner when you are done.
Click BASED ON LOCATION
From the dropdown, choose the location you want to add to the control panel.
Here you can optionally rename the group and change its properties for each output.
To change the properties of an output, click on the output:
Under the Groups menu, you can now activate Direct control.
To change the order of the groups, you can drag the orange icon up or down to the right of the group.
To test, you can close the control panel ( X top right ).
